The Tackle Masters Ball System: Unlocking Points Through Every Try, Tackle, and Strategy

Welcome to the Ball System of Tackle Masters, the foundation of how your fantasy rugby team earns points! In the world of fantasy sports, knowing the ins and outs of scoring can make all the difference. The Ball System rewards players based on their real-world performance, so every action they take on the field can either boost your score or set you back.

Here’s how we calculate points in Tackle Masters, and how every tackle, try, and kick can propel your team to the top of the leaderboard!

How Points Are Earned:

  • Tries Scored: 10 points
A try is the most exciting and rewarding action in rugby. When one of your players scores a try, you earn 10 points! It’s the ultimate reward for offensive play.
  • Conversions Kicked: 5 points
After a try, the conversion kick can add more points. If your player successfully converts, you’ll earn 5 points.
  • Penalties Kicked: 3 points
Successful penalty kicks earn you 3 points. These kicks can make a huge difference, so don’t overlook players who excel in kicking.
  • Tackles Made: 1 point per tackle
Every tackle counts! Your defensive players will earn 1 point for each successful tackle they make.
  • Assists: 4 points
A player who assists in setting up a try doesn’t go unnoticed. Each assist earns your team 4 points!
  • Line Breaks: 6 points
Breaking through the defense is a valuable skill. Every line break made by one of your players gives you 6 points.
  • Metres Gained (per 100 meters): 1 point
Every 100 meters gained during the match by your player earns 1 point. This is a great way to reward ball carriers who make big runs.
  • Try Savers (Defensive Actions): 7 points
A try-saving tackle is one of the most impactful actions in rugby. Players who prevent tries from happening will earn a hefty 7 points.
  • Clean Breaks: 5 points
If a player successfully breaks through the opposition’s defense, they earn 5 points for a clean break.
  • Offloads: 3 points
A successful offload that keeps the attack moving and leads to a continued play earns 3 points.

How Points Are Subtracted:

  • Yellow Card: -3 points
A yellow card means a temporary removal from the game, and it’s costly. Players who receive a yellow card will cause you to lose 3 points.
  • Red Card: -8 points
A red card leads to an ejection from the game, and it has a significant penalty: you lose 8 points.
  • Turnovers Conceded: -1 point per turnover
If a player loses possession to the opposition, it’s a turnover, and you lose 1 point.
  • Missed Tackles: -1 point per missed tackle
Defensive lapses cost you points. Missing a tackle results in a -1 point deduction.
  • Dropped Balls: -2 points
Handling errors, like dropped passes, can hurt both the game and your fantasy team, causing a -2 point penalty.

Understanding the Ball System will give you the edge you need to manage your team effectively. By keeping a mix of attacking and defensive players and tracking their performance throughout the season, you’ll be well on your way to achieving fantasy rugby glory!
